Allie E. was born about 1864 in ,Bourbon, Kentucky.¹   Allie E.'s father was James S. Moore and his mother was Martha A. Crouch.  His paternal grandparents were Elisha Moore and Elizabeth Money. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Sherman B., Clarence E., Minnie J. and Rosa E..  He was the second youngest of the five children. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named George A., James M., W. L., Matilda F., Mary E. and Martha A..
