Deborah McLain

Deborah was born in 1847 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee.¹ Deborah's father was Clark McLain and her mother was Susannah. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas McLain and Elizabeth Doty. She had eight brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, Hiram, Jacob, Joseph M., George, John, Wade H., Luke, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Sarah, Mary Ann and Margaret. She was the sixth youngest of the fourteen children.
