John Martin

John was born on June 12th, 1803 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   John's father was Thomas Martin and his mother was Elizabeth. He had six brothers and two sisters, named James, Thomas, Aaron, Paschal, Absalom, Abijah, Mahala and Elizabeth.  He was the second oldest of the nine children. He had a half-brother named William.
