George Koontz 
George was born about 1791 in ,Monroe, West Virginia.1 George's father was Henry Koontz and his mother was Elizabeth Bowyer. His maternal grandparents were Adam Bowyer and Christine Louderback. He had six brothers and three sisters, named William, Charles, Andrew, Samuel, John, Alexander, Sarah, Susannah and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the ten children.-
