Alexander Koontz 
Alexander was born about 1808 in ,Monroe, West Virginia.1 Alexander's father was Henry Koontz and his mother was Elizabeth Bowyer. His maternal grandparents were Adam Bowyer and Christine Louderback. He had six brothers and three sisters, named George, William, Charles, Andrew, Samuel, John, Sarah, Susannah and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the ten children.-
