Martha Ellen Klepper

Martha Ellen was born in 1853 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   Martha Ellen's father was Peter Klepper and her mother was Mary Pilant.  Her maternal grandfather was Joseph Pilant. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, Cornelius Or Nealy, Francis Marion, Susan, Phebe, Sarah and Barbara.  She was the second youngest of the eight children. She had three half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named Barnabus M., William, John M., Mary Or Polly, Nancy, Elizabeth, Jane, Katherine, Lourana, Susannah and Margaret.
