Joseph Klepper

Joseph was born in 1841 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   Joseph's father was Peter Klepper and his mother was Mary Pilant.  His maternal grandfather was Joseph Pilant. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Cornelius Or Nealy, Francis Marion, Susan, Phebe, Sarah, Martha Ellen and Barbara.  He was the second oldest of the eight children. He had three half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named Barnabus M., William, John M., Mary Or Polly, Nancy, Elizabeth, Jane, Katherine, Lourana, Susannah and Margaret.
