Lucena Greathouse

Lucena was born in 1863 in ,Wayne, Illinois.¹ Lucena's father was William Greathouse and her mother was Elizabeth Newby. Her paternal grandparents were Hiram Greathouse and Lydia Ann; her maternal grandparents were John Newby and Rebecca Simpson. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Elijah, Hiram, Bryant, Daniel, Lucy J., Caroline, Rebecca and Lydia Ann. She was the second youngest of the nine children.
