Daniel Greathouse

Daniel was born in 1867 in ,Wayne, Illinois.¹ Daniel's father was William Greathouse and his mother was Elizabeth Newby. His paternal grandparents were Hiram Greathouse and Lydia Ann; his maternal grandparents were John Newby and Rebecca Simpson. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Elijah, Hiram, Bryant, Lucy J., Caroline, Rebecca, Lydia Ann and Lucena. He was the youngest of the nine children.
