William Jordan George

William Jordan was born on July 9th, 1821 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.¹   William Jordan's father was James Jordan George and his mother was Nancy Dugger.  His paternal grandparents were James George and Elizabeth Nodan; his maternal grandparents were Julius Caesar Dugger and Mary Hall. He had two brothers and five sisters, named James Dugger, John H., Mary, Edna, Charlotte, Sarah D. and Margaret.  He was the second youngest of the eight children. He had two half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Charles Nodan, Hugh, Sarah, Elizabeth, Nancy, Frances and Eliza.
