John H. George

John H. was born on February 29th, 1824 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.¹   John H.'s father was James Jordan George and his mother was Nancy Dugger.  His paternal grandparents were James George and Elizabeth Nodan; his maternal grandparents were Julius Caesar Dugger and Mary Hall. He had two brothers and five sisters, named James Dugger, William Jordan, Mary, Edna, Charlotte, Sarah D. and Margaret.  He was the youngest of the eight children. He had two half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Charles Nodan, Hugh, Sarah, Elizabeth, Nancy, Frances and Eliza.  He died after 1908.¹
