James Rolla Gardner

James Rolla was born in 1904 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹ James Rolla's father was Jacob Tillman Gardner and his mother was Hila Luster. His paternal grandparents were James Gardner and Anna Myers. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Arthur E., Willie H., Lowery Rexall, Homer Cecil, Rome Homer, John Newton, Joseph Jacob, Martha E., Della Grace, Mary Ethel and Minnie Bell. He was the second youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 42 in 1946.¹
