John Robert Cox 
John Robert was born in 1875 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 John Robert's father was James Hiram Cox and his mother was Mary W. Rutledge. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Cox and Barbara Hammond; his maternal grandparents were Emanuel Rutledge and Sarah Kate Wilson. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William Samuel, Emanuel, Thomas Elbert, Charles Richard, James B., Sarah Elizabeth, Laura C. and Mary Lillie. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 79 in 1954.1 -
