Charles Richard Cox 
Charles Richard was born in 1881 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 Charles Richard's father was James Hiram Cox and his mother was Mary W. Rutledge. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Cox and Barbara Hammond; his maternal grandparents were Emanuel Rutledge and Sarah Kate Wilson. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William Samuel, Emanuel, John Robert, Thomas Elbert, James B., Sarah Elizabeth, Laura C. and Mary Lillie. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 66 in 1947.1 -
