John Cox

John was born on March 8th, 1802 in Tennessee.¹   John's father was Edward Cox and his mother was Sarah Meredith.  His paternal grandfather was John Cox. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Meredith, Joshua, Jacob, Abraham, Samuel, Elizabeth, Jane and Catherine.  He was the second youngest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 55 on March 31st, 1857.¹
