Jacob Cox

Jacob was born on September 20th, 1793 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.¹   Jacob's father was Edward Cox and his mother was Sarah Meredith.  His paternal grandfather was John Cox. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Meredith, Joshua, Abraham, Samuel, John, Elizabeth, Jane and Catherine.  He was the fifth oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 76 on February 14th, 1870 in Washington County, Arkansas.¹
