Robert Conyers 
Robert was born in 1477 in Of Horden, Durham, England.1 Robert's father was Richard Conyers and his mother was Elizabeth Claxton. His paternal grandparents were John Conyers and Margaret Darcy; his maternal grandparents were Robert Claxton and Anne Stapleton. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Richard, Percival, Janet, Anna, Margery, Katherine and Margaret. He was the second oldest of the eight children.-
