Paul Nay Combest 
Paul Nay was born on July 12th, 1895 in Cyrus neighborhood (NE of Ransom, Kansas).1 Paul Nay's father was Christopher Columbus Combest and his mother was Laura Maxwell Carr. His paternal grandparents were Samuel James Combest and Adaline Read. He had two brothers and a sister, named Charles Franklin, Joseph Clifford and Lulu Bertha. He was the youngest of the four children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named James Edward and Josie Adaline. He died at the age of 89 on December 23rd, 1984 in Hays, Kansas.1 General Notes

Paul was born in the sod house on the land which was homesteaded by his father in Cyrus neighborhood, northeast of Ransom, Kansas.
Paul was an active member of his community, serving on many boards throughout the years, and was a faithful worker in the Church of Christ.
