James Childress 
James was born in 1851 in ,Bourbon, Kentucky.1 James' father was Philip G. Childress and his mother was Amanda Wheatley. His paternal grandfather was John Childress; his maternal grandfather was Daniel Wheatley. He had a brother and two sisters, named John, Susan and Caroline. He was the second youngest of the four children.
