Caroline Childress

Caroline was born in 1849 in ,Bourbon, Kentucky.¹   Caroline's father was Philip G. Childress and her mother was Amanda Wheatley.  Her paternal grandfather was John Childress; her maternal grandfather was Daniel Wheatley. She had two brothers and a sister, named James, John and Susan.  She was the second oldest of the four children.
