James Amis 
James was born on November 6th, 1790 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 James' father was Thomas Amis and his mother was Lucy Haynes. His paternal grandparents were John Amis and Mary Dillard; his maternal grandparents were Francis Bythell Haynes and Anne Bell. He had two brothers and a sister, named Haynes, William and Nancy. He was the second youngest of the four children. He had four half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named John, Willis, Lincoln, Thomas Gale, Tabitha, Frances, Mary, Elizabeth, Rachel, Alice Gale and Penelope. He died at the age of 80 in October 1871 in ,Of Hawkins, Tennessee.1 -
