Thomas Gale Amis 
Thomas Gale was born on July 10th, 1782 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 Thomas Gale's father was Thomas Amis and his mother was Alice Gale. His paternal grandparents were John Amis and Mary Dillard; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Whitney Gale and Mary Griffith. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named John, Willis, Lincoln, Tabitha, Frances, Mary, Elizabeth, Rachel, Alice Gale and Penelope. He was the second youngest of the eleven children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Haynes, William, James and Nancy. He died about 1815 in ,Of Hawkins, Tennessee.1 -
