Jacob Akard 
Jacob was born in 1781 in Pennsylvania.1 Jacob's father was Jacob Aeckard and his mother was Susanna Margaretha Latture. His maternal grandparents were Johannes Hermannus Latture and Catherine Barbara Spickler. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Frederick Douglas, John, Adam, Mariah Elizabeth, Mary and Catherine. He died at the age of 64 in 1845.1
