John William Acton 
John William was born on February 22nd, 1818 in Dixon Twp, Preble, OH.1 John William's father was James Acton and his mother was Elizabeth Tosh. His paternal grandparents were John Acton and Hester (Hettie) Ward; his maternal grandparents were James Tosh and Anne Broadwater. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Weston A, James Tosh, Hester Ann, Amelia Jane and Nancy D.. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 57 on September 25th, 1875 in Washington Twp., Wapello IA.1 -
