David Spears 
David was born about 1783 in , Halifax, North Carolina. David's father was Samuel Spears and his mother was Sarah Spears. His paternal grandmother was Rosina Spears; his maternal grandparents were Kindred Spears and Elizabeth Jones. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Lazarus, Jesse, William, Phereba, Nancy Ann and Lucy. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, and also a half-sibling of unknown gender, named John, William, Spears, Matilda, Spears, Matilda and Spears. He died in 1809 in , Of Hawkins, Tennessee.-
