Reuben Skelton 
Reuben was born on February 11th, 1809 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Reuben's father was John Skelton and his mother was Elizabeth Roberts. His paternal grandparents were Skelton and Ann; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Roberts and Elizabeth Clemmons. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, Alexander, John, William, Thomas, James, Abraham Carter, Nancy and Mary Elizabeth. He was the third youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 61 in 1870 in , , Illinois.-
