Orena Bell Shipley 
Orena Bell was born in 1884 in Virginia. Orena Bell's father was Samuel Augustus Shipley and her mother was Sarah Elizabeth Gilley. Her paternal grandparents were John Childers Shipley and Nancy Martitia Green. She had five brothers and a sister, named Napoleon Benjamin, Loyd Cleveland, Ballard Henry, John Childers, Garland David and Martha. She was the oldest of the seven children.
