Eliza M. was born on October 26th, 1790 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Eliza M.'s father was Joseph Rogers and her mother was Mary Amis. Her paternal grandparents were James Rogers and Elizabeth Brown; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Amis and Alice Gale. She had five brothers and eight sisters, named James, John Alexander, Thomas Amis, Robert, Joseph, Rachel, Frances Grantham, Margaret E., Lucy, Alice Gale, Louisiana N., Malinda and Nancy F.. She was the third oldest of the fourteen children. She died at the age of 18 on April 23rd, 1809 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.-
