Anderson Mowell

Anderson was born in 1845 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.  Anderson's father was Jacob Mowell and his mother was Amanda.  His paternal grandfather was Mowell. He had ten brothers and a sister, named Benjamin M., Richard, Isaac, James, John, Henry, Jacob, William, Thomas, Joseph and Katherine.  He was the sixth youngest of the twelve children.
