Joseph McLain 
Joseph was born in 1835 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee. Joseph's father was Joseph McLain and his mother was Cassandra. His paternal grandparents were Thomas McLain and Elizabeth Doty. He had two brothers and four sisters, named William, Stephen, Cassandra, Nancy, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the second youngest of the seven children.
