Philip Lawson 
Philip was born about 1761 in VA. Philip's father was Bartholomew Lawson and his mother was Susannah Simkins. His paternal grandparents were William Lawson and Isabel Kenney; his maternal grandparents were John Simkins and Elizabeth French. He had ten brothers named Moorman, David, Randolph, William, John, Elisha, Peter, Bartholomew, Jacob and Reuben. He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children.-
