John Lawson 
John was born about 1755 in Bedford Co., VA. John's father was Bartholomew Lawson and his mother was Susannah Simkins. His paternal grandparents were William Lawson and Isabel Kenney; his maternal grandparents were John Simkins and Elizabeth French. He had ten brothers named Moorman, David, Randolph, William, Elisha, Peter, Philip, Bartholomew, Jacob and Reuben. He was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. He died on January 4th, 1838.-
