William Greer Crumley 
William Greer was born in 1854 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. William Greer's father was William J. Crumley and his mother was Eliza Jane Steele. His paternal grandparents were William Jacob Crumley and Catherine Greer; his maternal grandparents were David Steele and Mary Spahr. He had three brothers and five sisters, named David James, Jacob Leander, Isaac D., Harriet, Mary Catherine, Martha Ann, Sarah Frances and Alice Jane. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 67 in 1921.-
