David James Crumley 
David James was born in 1846 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. David James' father was William J. Crumley and his mother was Eliza Jane Steele. His paternal grandparents were William Jacob Crumley and Catherine Greer; his maternal grandparents were David Steele and Mary Spahr. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Jacob Leander, Isaac D., William Greer, Harriet, Mary Catherine, Martha Ann, Sarah Frances and Alice Jane. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 64 in 1910.-
