William Potts ANDRESS 
William Potts was born on December 18th, 1837 in Scottish Ridge, Monroe Co, AL . William Potts 's father was Stephen Singleton ANDRESS and his mother was Susanna Jane McCOY. His paternal grandparents were Stephen ANDRESS and Nancy Ann SINGLETON; his maternal grandparents were Redden McCOY and Susan PRINGLE . He had five brothers and five sisters, and also two siblings of unknown gender, named Francis Marion , Stephen Decatur, Hampton Monroe, Redden McCoy , Joseph Nettles , Mary Jane , Susanah Caroline , Lucy A. , Nancy Jane , Nancy Elizabeth , Infant and Infant. He was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 26 on July 21st, 1864 in Gettysburg,Adams Co., PA .General Notes
