Her paternal grandparents were John ANDERSON and Jane (Jean /Jeane) NICHOLSON ; her maternal grandparents were Samuel NICHOLSON and Elizabeth CHARLES . She had three brothers and five sisters, named Samuel , John , Joseph .., Mary , Elisabeth , Jane , Hannah and Abigail.General Notes
38 F vi. Sarah ANDERSON was born in 1730 in Perquimans County, North Carolina. Sarah declared her intentions to marry Joseph Henby on 5 Oct 1748, Perquimans at John Anderson's house[26]. She is not mentioned in her mother's will dated 25 May 1757, but Sarah's mother names granddaughters Elizabeth Henbe and Sarah Henbe in her will[27]. It is not clear if these are her daughters or one is or if they belong to her sister Elizabeth, who married James Henby.
