  No. 81. Elizabeth Anderson, & John Anderson, Sarah, & John Jones, Sarah, & Jacob Mullen, & Thomas Nicholson, for £236 pd by Richard Sanders, of Perq, sold 100a on North east side of Perq River, “land that Samuel Nicholson, at the request of his father Christopher Nicholson, made over to his brother Joseph,” & sd Joseph in his will gave to his brother John, who died without heirs, “in like manner,” left it to Nathaniel Nicholson, he also having no heirs, left it to Benjamin Nicholson, “all failing of heirs” sd Joseph in his will, gave sd land to his five brothers, (Sam'l, John, Nath'l, & Christopher) called “Log house” land.   The will abstract of Elizabeth Anderson, widow of John Anderson[16], dated 25 May 1757, proved Jan Court 1760, Perquimans County, mentions son John, daughter Abigail Charles, son Samuel, granddaughter Elizabeth Henbe, grandson William Arnold, granddaughter Sarah Henbe, grandson Joshua Albertson, son of Elihu; and William Arnold. Son John and Wm Albertson executors, Test, Sam'l Anderson, John Boswell, and Joseph Boswell.

  The will abstract of Elizabeth Anderson, widow of John Anderson[16], dated 25 May 1757, proved Jan Court 1760, Perquimans County, mentions  son John, daughter Abigail Charles, son Samuel, granddaughter Elizabeth Henbe, grandson William Arnold, granddaughter Sarah Henbe, grandson Joshua Albertson, son of Elihu; and William Arnold. Son John and Wm Albertson executors, Test, Sam'l Anderson, John Boswell, and Joseph Boswell.
  
  Elizabeth and John received an inheritance in a rather roundabout way, This is being inserted here due to its unusual interest: Elizabeth Anderson, and John Anderson, Sarah, and John Jones, Sarah, and Jacob Mullen, and Thomas Nicholson, for 236 pounds paid by Richard Sanders, of Perquimans sold 100 acres on the northeast side of Perquimans River, "land that Samuel Nicholson, at the request of his father Christopher Nicholson, made over to his brother Joseph". Said Joseph in his will gave it to his brother John, who died without heirs, "in like manner", left it to Nathaniel Nicholson, he also having no heirs, left it to Benjamin Nicholson, "all failing of heirs". Said Joseph in his will had given said land, called "Log house" land", to his five brothers, (Sam'l, John, Nath'l and Christopher). Jan 17, 1742/3.         Children of John ANDERSON and Elisabeth NICHOLSON were as follows:
  
               33 F  i.   Mary ANDERSON was born on 19 Apr 1720 in Perquimans County, North Carolina.  Mary may have married ? Arnold, she is not mentioned in her mother's will dated 25 May 1757[18], but a grandchild, William Arnold is.
  
               34 F ii.   Elisabeth ANDERSON was born on 17 Dec 1722 in Perquimans County, North Carolina. Elisabeth declared her intention to marry James Henby on 1 Nov 1738 at Perquimans Monthly Meeting. She is not mentioned in her mother's will dated 25 May 1757[19], but Elisabeth's mother names granddaughters Elizabeth Henbe and Sarah Henbe. It is not clear whether both of these are her daughters or one is or if they belong to her sister Sarah, who married Joseph Henby.
  
               35 M   iii.   Joseph ANDERSON was born on 25 Feb 1723/1724 in Perquimans County, North Carolina. He died before 1795. Joseph may have married (was reported married to) Elizabeth Symons 5 Dec 1750 Perquimans Monthly Meeting or (intended to marry) Meriam Winslow 1 Apr 1747[20]. He is not mentioned in her mother's will dated 25 May 1757[21].
  
               36 F iv.   Jane/Jean ANDERSON was born on 9 Sep 1726 in Perquimans County, North Carolina. Jane declared her intention to marry Elihue Albertson 6 Feb 1744/5 at Perquimans Monthly Meeting[22]. She is not mentioned in her mother's will dated 25 May 1757[23], but Jane's mother names grandson Joshua Albertson son of Elihu in her will. Their daughter, Elizabeth Albertson was the 3rd wife of Thomas Winslow of Randolph County, North Carolina. One source names Thomas Winslow's 3rd wife as Elizabeth Anderson and this is mistakenly reported in other genealogies.
  
               37 F v.   Hannah ANDERSON was born on 24 Sep 1728 in Perquimans County, North Carolina. She died on 3 May 1751 in Pasquotank County, North Carolina. Hannah rmt (was reported married to) Joshua Morris 3 Feb 1747/8 at John Anderson's home in Perquimans[24]. She was his 1st wife. She died before her mother and since there are no Morris grandchildren mentioned in her mother’s will[25] she probably had no living children.
  
               38 F vi.   Sarah ANDERSON was born in 1730 in Perquimans County, North Carolina. Sarah declared her intentions to marry Joseph Henby on 5 Oct 1748, Perquimans at John Anderson's house[26]. She is not mentioned in her mother's will dated 25 May 1757, but Sarah's mother names granddaughters Elizabeth Henbe and Sarah Henbe in her will[27]. It is not clear if these are her daughters or one is or if they belong to her sister Elizabeth, who married James Henby.
  
               39 M   vii.   Samuel ANDERSON was born about 1732 in Perquimans County, North Carolina. Samuel rmt (was reported married to) Leah Sherwood 3 Jul 1754 Perquimans. He may have married 2nd Mary Wilson 2 Apr 1760[28]. His mother gave him 150 acres of land in Perquimans County on 19 Oct 1751[29]. He is mentioned in his mother’s will[30].
  
             40 M   viii.   John ANDERSON was born on 5 May 1735 in Perquimans County, North Carolina. He died on 31 Mar 1808 in Perquimans aged at his death was 72y 10m 4d, 20 hrs. John was reported married to Sarah Wilson on 4 Jul 1753 at Sutton Creek Monthly Meeting, Perquimans[31]. She was the daughter of Benjamin Wilson and Judith Dockton[32]. His mother gave him 150 acres of land in Perquimans County on 19 Oct 1751[33]. They had a son named Joseph Anderson[34]. He probably married 2nd Anne Cornwell, on 15 Oct 1795, Perquimans[35].
  
         41 F             ix.   Abigail ANDERSON was born about 1738, Perquimans County, North Carolina and died before 25 Apr 1790, Perquimans. She was reported married on 5 3rd mo (Mar) 1755 at Piney Wood Monthly Meeting, Perquimans to Samuel CHARLES.
