Sarah Joana was born in 1872.1   Sarah Joana's father was Robert Sidney Young and her mother was Sarah Jane Fletcher.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Young and Dorcas Burnett; her maternal grandparents were John Wesley Fletcher and Sarah Lamb. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Thomas Jefferson, William Richard, Robert Lee, John Sidney, Annie, Mary Ellen, Katherine Orlene, Nora Hettie and Myra Ethel.  She died at the age of 34 in 1906.1
