Grace Helen was born on October 28th, 1912 in Oenaville, Bell Co., Texas.1 Grace Helen's father was Reuben Luther Whitten and her mother was Alice Mary Meadows. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Weir Johnson Whitten and Lucy Emma Davis. She had two brothers and a sister, named Luther Clyde, Roy Lee and Alice Pauline. She was the second oldest of the four children.-
