Hunter Ray was born on November 29th, 1926 in Roxton, Lamar County, Texas.1 Hunter Ray's father was Ed Springer and his mother was Edye Morard Moore. His maternal grandparents were George Henry Moore and Lucy Esabel Boyd. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Living, Living, Jencie Rae and Living. He had five half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named Henry, Walton, L G, James Howard, John Theron, Sarah, Hattie, Etta, Ellie, Marjorie, Vera, Vivian Pauline and Lorrene. He died at the age of 58 on December 18th, 1984 in Abilene, Texas. He was buried on December 21st, 1984 in Restland Cemetery, Roxton, Lamar County, Texas.1 1 General Notes

Abilene, died at his home Tuesday, Dec. 18. Services were held Thursday,
D ec. 20, at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home in Abilene. Fry and Gibbs Funeral
Home conducted graveside services Friday, Dec. 21, at Restland Cemetery
in Roxton. Mr. Springer was born Nov. 29, 1926, in Roxton, a son of of Ed
and Edye Moor e Springer. He attended Roxton schools and was self employed
as a water haule r. He was married to Billie Faye Ellis on June 6, 1946.
He was a member of th e woodmen of the World. They had lived in Abilene
since March
1954. Survivin g are his wife; three brothers, Bill Springer of Abilene,
Joshua Springer of Dallas and Kenneth Springer of Roxton; seven sisters,
Pauline Whatley of Dall as, Lorene Jackson of Roxton, Margie Brassart of
California, Hattie Gregory o f Roxton, Ellie Wilson of Lubbock and Vera
Jackson of Cooper'. Tombstone has middle name as 'Ray'.
