Christopher Columbus was born on January 1st, 1880 in Holly Springs, Marshall County, Mississippi.1 Christopher Columbus' father was Christopher Columbus Phillips and his mother was Martha Jane Hunsucker. His paternal grandparents were C C Phillips and J H Smith; his maternal grandparents were Asa Hunsucker and Dica Williams. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William Lafayette, James Atha, Elic Shephard, Alamo N, Leonard Fillmore Jackson, Margaret H, Martha Pearl and Camilla Lee. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 75 on April 4th, 1955 in Roxton, Lamar County, Texas.
