Narrative

!Reta and L.J. were married in Uvalde, Texas July 4th 1941 by Justice
of the Peace, John Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Powers were their
witnesses. They spent their honeymoon at the Riverside Ranch near
Camp Wood, Texas. L.J. operated the Dixie Theater in Camp Wood. In
November of 1942 he joined the Air Corps. After the war they returned
to Camp Wood and operated the theater until the death of Reta. Reta
died at the early age of 26 years when their daughter was about five
years old. She is buried in the Uvalde Memorial Cemetery in Uvalde,
Texas.
