Mildred Howell Read 
Mildred Howell was born about 1781 in Brushy Forest, Charlotte Co., Va. Mildred Howell's father was Colonel Jonathan Read and her mother was Jane Lewis. Her paternal grandparents were Col. Clement Reade and Mary Hill; her maternal grandparents were John Lewis and UNKNOWN Jane. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Isaac, John Lewis, Thomas Hill, Edmund, Howell Lewis, Charles Lewis, Charles, Mary Howell, Margaret Howell and Elizabeth Warner. She died on January 10th, 1843 in Caswell Co., NC.-
