Charles Lewis Read 
Charles Lewis was born on February 21st, 1794 in Brushy Forest, Charlotte Co., Va. Charles Lewis' father was Colonel Jonathan Read and his mother was Jane Lewis. His paternal grandparents were Col. Clement Reade and Mary Hill; his maternal grandparents were John Lewis and UNKNOWN Jane. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Isaac, John Lewis, Thomas Hill, Edmund, Howell Lewis, Charles, Mildred Howell, Mary Howell, Margaret Howell and Elizabeth Warner. He died at the age of 75 on December 20th, 1869 in Haywood, Tennessee.-
