Ranson D. Hooker 
Ranson D. was born about 1854 in Wilson County, Tennessee. Ranson D.'s father was Jonathan Frizelle Hooker and his mother was Margaret Gwynn. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Hooker and Ann Frizzelle. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Hugh G., Robert W., Johnathan W., William A., Benjamin P., Pursus Calhoun, James M., Sarah Ann, Margaret and Mary Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the eleven children. He died in June 1941 in Wilson County, Tennessee. He was buried in Benjamin Hooker Cemetery, Gladeville, Wilson County, Tennessee.General Notes

Funeral services for R.D. HOOKER, 86, were conducted at the Gladeville Methodist Church Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 by Rev. C.H. WARREN, pastor of the First Baptist Church here. Mr. HOOKER died in a local hospital Tuesday night. Prior to his removal to Lebanon several years ago, Mr. HOOKER made his home in Gladeville where he was born. Surviving are two nieces and nephews: Miss Lillian HOOKER and Claude HOOKER of Nashville, and Miss Mary HOOKER and Jodge [Judge?] Sam HOOKER, both of Oklahoma City. Burial was in the family cemetery at Gladeville. Seagraves & Gill were in charge.
