Martin Hancock 
Martin was born in 1761 in Franklin or Bute County, North Carolina. Martin's father was Samuel Hancock and his mother was Mildred Dawson. He had five brothers and two sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named William New, Samuel, John, Dawson, Simon, Sarah, Mildred and Molly. He died at the age of 74 in 1835 in Wilson County, Tennessee.General Notes
