William Carraway 
William was born in 1686 in Lower Norfolk, Virginia. William's father was John Carraway and his mother was Ann Kemp. His paternal grandparents were John Carraway and Ann Foster; his maternal grandparents were James George Kemp and Mary Anne Lovett. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Richard, James, Thomas, Dinah, Ann and Elizabeth Ann. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died in Craven, North Carolina.-
