Joane de Mortimer 
Joane was born in 1194 in Elmley Castle, Worcestershire, England.1 Joane's father was Roger de Mortimer Baron Wigmore and her mother was Millicent de Ferrers. Her paternal grandparents were Hugh de Mortimer Baron Wigmore and Maud le Meschines; her maternal grandparents were William de Ferrers Earl of Derby and Sibyl de Braose. She had four brothers named Ralph de Mortimer, Hugh, Robert and Philip. She was the second oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 74 in 1268.2 -
