Ermengard (Adelaide) was born in 0975 in of Lower Lorraine, France.1 Ermengard (Adelaide)'s father was Charles Duc de Lotharingia and her mother was Bonne Adelaide de Ardenne. Her paternal grandparents were Louis IV d'Outre-Mer King of France and Gerberge of Saxony Abbess of Notre Dame; her maternal grandparents were Godefroy Ct de Ardenne and Mathilde of Saxony. She had a sister named Gerberge. She died at the age of 37 in 1012.1 General Notes
