Louis II the Stammerer was born in 0846 in France.1 Louis II the Stammerer's father was Charles II the Bald King of West Franks and his mother was Ermentrude de Orléans. His paternal grandparents were Louis I the Pious de Aquitaine King of France and Judith the Fair of Bavaria; his maternal grandparents were Vodon (Odo) de Orléans Ct de Orléans and Ingeltrude de Orléans. He had two sisters named Judith and Ermentrude (Hersent). He was the second oldest of the three children. He had a half-sister named Rothild. He died in Compiegne, Oise, France.2 -
